NYU's Frederic Ewen Academic Freedom Center will host its second annual conference on academic freedom on Friday, April 3rd, 2009, from 9:30am-6:00pm. Held at the Helen and Martin Kimmel Center (60 Washington Square South, Room 905/907) the event will feature panel discussions on Academic Capitalism and the Commodification of Knowledge; Academic Freedom and the International Perspective; Science, Technology, and Academic Freedom; and The Red Scare and the Academy.
