United States: SAR files submission to the UN Universal Periodic Review

In April 2026, SAR submitted a report on the United States to the United Nations Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The report focuses on findings from the 2026 Academic Freedom Index, federal and state encroachments on university autonomy, and rising reports of faculty members losing their positions following public or political pressure campaigns.
