Education Embargo: How Trump’s immigration ban restricts knowledge

As part of Scholars at Risk’s Student Advocacy Day at NYU Washington, D.C., SAR will host “Education Embargo: How Trump’s immigration ban restricts knowledge,” a panel discussion on the recent Executive Order on immigration and its impact on the U.S. higher education sector.
Joining us for this evening panel, which will be introduced by best-selling author Azar Nafisi and moderated by SAR Executive Director Rob Quinn, are Radwan Ziadeh, a Syrian scholar and Executive Director of the Syrian Center for Political and Strategic Studies, and Salam Al Kuntar, a Syrian archaeologist and post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania.
