An Ethiopian SAR scholar scholar of law and human rights will give a talk, “The Stifling of Democracy and the Repression of Academic Freedom in Ethiopia.”

The scholar will discuss his experiences of persecution by the Ethiopian government and his concerns about the violation of human rights by large-scale agricultural investments in sub-Saharan Africa.
