As part of International Education Week in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a SAR scholar of international diplomacy, politics, education, and development will give a lecture on “Post-Soviet Central Asia: New Authoritarianism and Academic Freedom.”

The scholar’s visit will offer an international perspective on academic freedom. The scholar will also join discussions with students and offer background on SAR to community members interested in learning more. The lecture is part of International Education Week (Nov. 16-20), a national celebration recognizing the benefits of international education and global exchanges of students and scholars. The scholar’s virtual lecture will be hosted at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18. This event is free and open to the public.
