Scientists are facing increasing levels of risk when conducting their work. From the firing of Turkish academics to the U.S. travel bans, repressive actions are dampening the international nature of science by limiting the participation of a significant number of scientists.

SAR’s Senior Program Officer for Membership and University Relations Joyce Pisarello will speak on a panel entitled “Science in Danger,” discussing how to respond to these challenges, how to ensure that researchers and students in the sciences can work to their full potential, and what can be done to counter some of the most dangerous trends. The panel is organized and moderated by SAR-Canada’s Viviana Fernandez.
