Alexandra is Senior Events Officer, where she currently coordinates and manages the 2024 SAR Global Congress to be held in Vilius, Lithuania. Prior to joining SAR, Alexandra worked in the geosciences sector as a Development Director, as well as Senior Philanthropy Officer at IIE, the Institute of International Education, for over 18 years. Alexandra earned a BSFS at Georgetown University School of Edmund A. Walsh Foreign Service and a MA in International Studies & Diplomacy at the University of London SOAS. Her MA dissertation Is Academic Freedom Protected Under International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law? was awarded Distinction for its research focused on themes of humanitarian aid, the relationship between education, violence, and conflict, violations of international human rights and humanitarian rights and academic freedom, and the role of indicators in global governance in the advocacy and protection of scholars and the freedom to think, question and share ideas.
