Annabelle Wilmott

As the Program Associate for the Membership and Communications teams at Scholars at Risk, Annabelle Wilmott helps to cultivate new institutional partnerships internationally and engage existing member institutions in SAR’s protection, advocacy, and values activities. She also works to increase the visibility of SAR’s mission through generating digital advocacy content. As a Fulbright grantee in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Annabelle became interested in disaster and displacement and has since devoted her career to working with those whose lives have been uprooted by disaster, war, or persecution. Before joining SAR, Annabelle worked at the Artistic Freedom Initiative, where she provided legal and resettlement support for artists at-risk and assisted with the planning and implementation of programs and events. She holds a Master of Science in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Communication, and International Studies from Saint Louis University – Madrid Campus.
