Sam Reichman is the Program Assistant for Protection Services at Scholars at Risk, where he helps assess applications from potentially at-risk scholars. Prior to joining SAR, he served as the Education Coordinator for the national student anti-genocide and mass atrocity activist group, STAND, taught English and creative writing in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, and studied and conducted research on the Syrian refugee crisis in Jordan. He has also interned for the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and worked as a marketing and communications intern for the Institute for Family Health in Amman. He holds a B.A. from Columbia University in Middle Eastern Studies.
