Skylar Gleason

As a Junior Advocacy Assistant, Skylar Gleason supports the Academic Freedom Monitoring Project’s work to verify and log attacks on higher education communities around the world. Prior to her role at SAR, she served as the Liu Xiaobo Human Rights Fellow at the public interest law firm Perseus Strategies, where she assisted in the representation of political prisoners and a range of other international human rights projects. Skylar is a 2021/2022 Columbia Law School Exploration Fellow and holds a B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Michigan with minors in Spanish and Law, Justice, and Social Change. She has particular interests in transitional justice and mass atrocity accountability.
