Challenges to Academic Freedom in Brazil and Similar Trends in Latin America

The Scholars at Risk University of Ottawa Program (SAR uOttawa) organized an event titled “Challenges to Academic Freedom in Brazil and Similar Trends in Latin America” featuring Professors Jacqueline SINHORETTO (Department of Sociology, Federal University of Sao Carlos, Brazil), Isaac NAHON-SERFATY (Department of Communication, Faculty of Arts, uOttawa), Jorge Carlos GUERRERO (Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, Faculty of Arts, uOttawa) and Joao VELLOSO (Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, uOttawa). The event took place on November 1st from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and was hosted by the Human Rights Research and Education Centre at uOttawa.
