SAR Canada elects first steering committee

At the 2016 Global Congress, the SAR Canada Section met to pass Terms of Reference and elect its first steering committee to guide national SAR activities.

Viviana Fernandez of the University of Ottawa, Melanie Adrian of Carleton University, Anneke Smit of the University of Windsor, and Nandini Ramanujam of McGill University were unanimously elected to the steering committee by fellow members of the SAR Canada General Assembly. The committee will provide leadership in promoting the values, aims, and activities of Scholars at Risk in Canada through outreach, partnerships, and joint activities.
