Political Persecution In India (Webinar)

Dr. Saibaba is an Indian scholar of English Literature and a human rights activist. He is now serving a life sentence as a result of a wrongful conviction on the grounds of alleged involvement in “anti-national” activities and having links to Maoists.

To aid Dr. Saibaba’s campaign and to spread awareness of the political context of his imprisonment, we are holding a webinar event on Political Persecution in India, on May 7th from 10:00am to 11:30am (PDT). The webinar will feature guest speakers who are experts on the history of political repression in India, as well as the current state of Dr. Saibaba’s imprisonment. This is an incredible opportunity to take part in an important conversation about academic freedom, and learn about the historical and current political climate in India. We hope to see you there!
