The Director’s Impact Fund
As SAR marks its 25th anniversary year, the urgency of our mission has never been greater. Around the world scholars and universities face escalating threats, from conflict, targeted violence and displacement to political repression and the shrinking of democratic space . At the same time, traditional sources of support are diminishing.
To meet today’s challenges, SAR is launching the Director’s Impact Fund, a three-year initiative created by the SAR Board of Trustees to provide flexible, responsive funding where it is needed most.
The Director’s Impact Fund will allow SAR to:
- Respond rapidly to emerging crises
- Develop innovative protection models to reach more scholars
- Defend academic freedom as a cornerstone of democracy
